The event is located at the Barry Expo Center, 5 miles north of Hastings, Michigan on M-37.
Our event started in 1995. With 15 years of longevity, it has grown an average of 18% each
year. Vendors from all over the country have marked their calendar for the second weekend in
October.
This show promotes all the great and wonderful aspects of Michigan’s winter season.
From skiing to snowmobiling, chain saws to wood stoves, plow trucks to hunting.
If it happens in the winter, it’s at the “Michigan Winter Fest”!
We are located in the heart of Western Michigan centered between four of Michigan’s largest
cities; Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Lansing. The state of Michigan is loaded with
winter folks wanting to see what you have to offer for the upcoming winter season.
We have something for everybody! An indoor archery show with professional and amateur archers
competing in various events. We have 4x4 rock crawling trucks, climbing over obstacles too big to
describe. On the list is our Lumber Jack competition. If you can saw it, chop it, climb it, or roll it,
they do it. A few years ago we began lawn mower racing, boy do they draw a crowd. It’s like a
scaled down version of NASCAR dirt track racing. Lastly, the biggest event and the longest run-
ning is the “Hastings 500 Snowmobile Grass Drags”, this is the second largest grass drag in the
country, with over 600 entries each year, where professional factory teams drive to prove who is
KING. Camping sites are available, so fans have the convenience of an entire weekend of winter
excitement.
Yankee Zephyr Racing Promotions has been successful promoting products and services to huge
crowds at the “Michigan Winter Fest” using our event marketing program. Which includes; event
flyers distributed to retail stores and other sporting events, direct mail, internet, radio ads, tele-
vision commercials and bill boards. Our efforts get thousands of spectators from North America and Canada through our gates, year after year.
